Jones <br />Mayor f3Jorndahl paid tribute to Mr. Jones, who rece�tly passed away; <br />he gave a resume of Mr. Jones' many civic contributions. <br />PUBIiC HEARING, Proposed Red Fox Rosd Improvement <br />(verbatim minutes attached) <br />No actTon fiaken 6y the Council at this time. <br />BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR <br />Water Improvement Inauirie� <br />Mr. Waldemar Lindqutst, Iill Ingerson Road, Mr. Ronald Youngblood, <br />1191 Carlfion Drtve, and Alex Chvestuik, 299 Atwater Street, St. Paul, <br />who is building a home on Thom Drive, expressed their dlssatisfaction <br />regarding the delay in the wster improvements. Mayor E3jorndahl 7n- <br />formed them that the Federai HUO Grant of $457,000 for water improve- <br />ments was received last Friday, August 1. <br />As requested by Mayor E3Jorndahl, Engineer Hendrickson reported the <br />HUD requirements necessary before starting tha water proJects, stating <br />that some work could posstbly be started after November I5, 1969. <br />Mr. Kenneth Boss, 131ti Hed Fox Road, and Mr. Lindquist commended the <br />Mayor and the Council for the fiime and effort they expended ta ob- <br />tain the grant. <br />REPORT OF RTTORNEY VINCENT P. COURTNEY <br />• Municipal Assessment Payments <br />Attorney Courfiney summarized his letter. dated August 11, 1969, to <br />the Clerk Administrator; he Tnformed the Council that Chapter 1095, <br />Minneso'Ya Laws of 1969, require munfcipalitlss to accept th� prepay- <br />ment ot assessm�nts, which have been levied bY the municipalities. <br />These prepayments were formerly aCCoptnd by the Ramsey Caunty huditor. <br />Revisions to lift Station No, tt Contract <br />Attorney Court�ey wrote a letter, dated August il, 1969� to Clerk <br />Administrator Lorraine Stromquist, with a carbon #o Engineer Lund, <br />in Nhich he stated that the Certificate ot Insurance from Barso <br />Constructfon Company Is not satisfactory. <br />Councilman Crepeau moved, seconded by Councllman Hollenhorst, to <br />authorize the executton of the contract, subject to Attorney Courtney's <br />approval ot a satisfactory Certificate of Insurance from Barso <br />� Constructlo� Company; motio� carried un��imously. <br />
