Asked how the <br />Council had determined that a majority of the affected property <br />owners were in favor of it. Also wanted to know where the <br />distressed water area is and what their problem is. <br />biR. DOiV KOSTOHRY2, 1405 West Arden Place <br />• Said that a majority of the people in the area <br />a petition requesting water over a year ago. <br />(Spoke before)a <br />had signed <br />PaZ, RICHARD P�YERS, 1758 Venus Avenue (Spoke before): Asked <br />if the Council had any schedule as to when they would vote on <br />ordering the construction of the improvement. Also asked <br />the engineer if his plans were complete. Further asked if it <br />would be possible to advertise for bids but not sign the <br />contracts until a determination has been made by the federal <br />government. <br />P�iRS. J. W, HAGEN, 3435 Siems Court (Spoke before)e Asked <br />how many people had petitioned for the improvement. <br />1�IR. RICHARD I�YERS, 1758 Venus Avenue (Spoke before): One <br />hundred percent in favor o£ the improvement, particularly with <br />the following conditions: (1) that 20� of the project be <br />assessed and the federal grant should be applied to assessments <br />over the 20� (2) because of the delay it will cost the <br />affected property owners another 1% interest and over a period <br />of 20 years it will cost these people more than the people who <br />had the project put in last year. Therefore, he thinks more <br />of the federal money should be applied against the assessments. <br />MR. RICHARD ERICKSON (Planning to move to the improvement <br />area - sopke before): In favor of the improvement. <br />A�28. EDwARD FYTELV, 1137 Edgewatera Has no water at all at <br />the present time and asked if the improvement would be completed <br />this year or next year. <br />• <br />
