� <br />hlinutes of the Regular Councii P4eetina <br />Apri! 28, 1969 <br />Page Four <br />Cost of the property is $1,400 per acre; Dr. t�loodburn submitted $200 <br />to the owner to hold the proQerty for Council consideration until <br />June 10, 1969. $10,000 Isincluded in the 1969 budget for civic <br />center deveiopmont. <br />Dr. Woodburn informed the Councii that if 11• is not interested in the <br />site for a civic center, the Parks and Recreation Committee would like <br />to consider it for the expansion of Floral Park. <br />Councilman Flollenhorst moved the matter be referred to the Planning <br />• Commission; request Attorney Courtney to check the easements on the <br />property and to give his opinion regarding legal procedure on the land <br />purchase, also, prepare a purchase agreement; seconded by Councilma� <br />Henderson; mot(on carrfed unantmously. <br />REPORT OF COUNCILMAN OLMEN - Public 69orks <br />Proposed EQuipment Purchases <br />Specittcations for a new truck will be finalized and ready for Counctl <br />action at the May 12th counctl meeting. <br />Emergency equtpment consisting of a portable generator, efectric hammer <br />and portable lights is to be purchased at a total cost ot 81,714.15; <br />this is to be financed from the sewer and water budgets - 50N from each. <br />Meter testing equipment will be purchased at a cost of $829, less 10�, <br />if ordered immediately - to be tinanced from the water budget. <br />A backhoe will be necessary for the next wa�er project, The cost ot <br />this is to be inciuded in the bond tssue. Clerk Admintstrator requested <br />to so notify Engineer Lund. <br />The Public Works Committee is also looking for a site for this depart- <br />ment.
