<br />City of Arden Hills <br /> <br />Chapter 2 Administration <br /> <br />its regular meeting on the next following day, and adjourned and special meetings at any <br /> <br />other time 2 or more Councilmembers or the mayor may deem necessary. The first meeting <br /> <br />of the year shall be held on the second day of January unless the second day of January shall <br /> <br />fall upon Saturday or Sunday, in which event it shall be held on Monday the third or fourth. <br /> <br />All meetings shall be held in the city hall except as otherwise, from time [0 time designated <br /> <br />by the Council. <br /> <br />State law reference-Meetings of council, Minn. Stat. \)412.191(2). <br /> <br />Subd. 2 Adjournment. The Council may at any time, by a majority vote of those present, <br /> <br />adjourn from time to time to a specific date and hour whether or not a quorum is present. <br /> <br />Subd. 3 Special Meetings. Special meetings may be called by the mayor or any two (2) <br /> <br />members by written request filed with or verbal request made to thE derk City Administrator <br /> <br />at least three (3) days, Sundays and holidays excepted, prior to the time specified for such <br /> <br />meeting. The elefte- City Administrator shall mail a notice at least two (2) days before the <br /> <br />meeting to all members of the time and place of the meeting and its purpose, if the purpose <br /> <br />be stated in the call filed with or made to him or her. <br /> <br />Subd. 4 Emergency Meetings. An emergency meeting may be called by the Mayor or any <br /> <br />two members of the Council for the purpose of dealing with a situation which due to the <br /> <br />circumstances requires the immediate consideration of the Council.
