<br /> ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - November 20, 2006 t <br /> Councilmember Holden recommended that the City also budget for a lap top computer for the . <br /> Building Inspector. He could complete the reports at the job site. <br /> Councilmember Holden asked why the general supply budget doubled from last year. <br /> Accounting Analyst Michelle Bruley said that City staff combined the different departmental <br /> supply budgets into one line item located in the administration budget. General office supplies <br /> are no longer budged in multiple departments, so there are off-setting decreases. <br /> Councilmember Holden recommended that the City's contribution to Northwest Youth and <br /> Family Services be reduced by $1,000. <br /> Councilmember Larson said that he is comfortable with this recommendation as long as the <br /> City's overall annual contribution amount docs not decrease. <br /> Councilmember Holden requested that the 1-35W Corridor Coalition membership fees be <br /> removed from the 2007 budget. <br /> Councilmember Larson said that he is comfortable with the City remaining a member of the 1- <br /> 35W Corridor Coalition. <br /> Councilmember Holden said that she is concemed that the levy will remain at 6% for 2007. . <br /> Councilmember Larson said that he is comfortable with a 6% levy for 2007. <br /> Mayor Aplikowski stated that she also supports a 6% levy. <br /> Mayor Aplikowski recommended that additional funding be budgeted for residential improving <br /> communications with the residents. <br /> Councilmember Larson recommended that additional funding be used for public safety, PIR, and <br /> park improvements. <br /> City Administrator Wolfe provided the City Council with an overview of the proposed changes <br /> to the 2007 budget: <br /> . Northwest Youth & Family Services contribution reduced by $1,000, resulting in a $4,000 <br /> contribution. <br /> . $5,000 budgeted for a Needs Assessment for Arden Hills Fire Station # I. <br /> . $10,500 included for a City wide survey. <br /> . Celebrating Arden Hills (expenditure and revenue) was removed from the 2007 Proposed <br /> Budget. <br /> . <br /> 8 <br />
