Backeround <br /> At the April 24, 2006 City Council mecting, Council approvcd resolutions 06-31 and 06-32 <br /> authorizing the application for contamination clean-up grants from the Minnesota Departmcnt of <br /> Employment and Economic Development (DEED), Ramscy County, and the Metropolitan <br /> Council, on behalf of Chesapeake Companies for Brownfield remediation at thc former A TS sitc, <br /> 1901 Gateway Boulevard, subject to the following conditions: <br /> 1. Execution of a sccured reimbursemcnt agrcement between thc City and Chesapeake <br /> Companics, in a form approved by the City Attorney; <br /> .., Execution of a peri'Ormance agreement between the City and Chesapeake Companies, <br /> ..... <br /> in a i'Onn approved by the City Attorney; and <br /> 3. Chesapeake Companies must apply for a Final Plan approval prior to any grant- <br /> related remediation work being started on thc site. <br /> Discussion <br /> The City has been noli fled of approval of the full funding requestcd from each of the threc <br /> agcncies, and to date, has received contracts from DEED, the Met Council and recently, Ramsey <br /> County. The City Council has previously approved the contracts with DEED and the Met <br /> Council at their August 28 mecting. Wc have also rcceivcd a sccured reimbursement and <br /> perf'Onnancc agreement and application has been made for the Final Plan approval from <br /> . Chesapeake Companics, as rcquired in the conditions ofthe grant applications. <br />
