Attachment 3D-4 <br /> Revised Section 1325.05 Subd 8 <br /> At thc Planning Commission work session, an alterative to reducing the <br /> continuous and solid foundation requircment for rcsidcntial structures to 75 <br /> percent was discussed. The altemative is to require the habitable p011ions of the <br /> structure to still rcquire thc foundation to be 100 percent continuous and solid. <br /> The non-habitable portions, which could include three-season porches, could use <br /> pillars for foundations. <br /> Subd. 8 Desi~'11 Standards for Principal Structures in Residential Zoning <br /> Districts. <br /> A. Minimum Width. All principal structurcs in residential zoning <br /> districts, except mobile homcs in approved mobile home parks, <br /> shall have a minimum width of twenty (20) feet measured from <br /> face to face of principal exterior walls. <br /> B. Foundation. The habitablc portion of principal structures in <br /> residential zonmg districts, except manufactured homes III <br /> approved manufactured homc parks, shall be placed on a <br />. permanent foundation that complies with the rcquirements of the <br /> State Building Code and is continuous and solid for the cntire <br /> perimeter of thc structure. <br /> C. Pcnnitted encroachments in Section 1325.03 Subd 2 shall bc <br /> excmpt from subparts I and 2 above. <br />. <br />
