Following a review of its building needs, Boston Scientific has decided not to pursue the proposed west addition
to Building N in favor of the proposal described below.
Boston Scientific IS requesting a Master Plan PUD Amendment and a Site Plan Review to allow a 2,2~jO square foot
addition to BUilding N. An interior remodel of 5,300 square feet is proposed to occur in conjunction with the ilddition.
The addition would he placed along the north side of the existing building The purpose of the addition is to illlow the
integration of a new product component into the existing manufilcturing process. The new construction will prnvide
space for new process equipment which will require a 25 foot clear height within the structure.
The building would be a single story load. bearing masonry structure with the exterior materials matching the existmg
newly remodeled facility These materials consist primarily of face brick, EIFS, and prefinished metal paneL
Boston Scientific expects to add approximiltely 3 employees to building N with the additional squarr. foutaue
The mechanical systems will be a typical roof top unit installation. The units will be set on the existing building south
of the new addition at the lower, 18'-8" roof level. This will allow the taller 28'.4" new addition, as well as portions of
the existing huilclinfj ilbovc 18' -8", to screen the roof top equipment from the residential neighborhood to the west and
northwest We do not expect to acid any additional perceivable noise to the neighborhood with the screeninfj
arrangement of the taller addition
.
.
