Back2round <br /> At the April 24, 2006 City Council meeting, Council approved resolutions 0(>-3 I and 06-32 <br /> authorizing the application for contamination clean-up grants from the Minnesota Department of <br /> Employment and Economic Development (DEED), Ramsey County, and thc Metropolitan <br /> Council, on behalf of Chesapeakc Companies fl.)!" Brownfield remediation at the former ATS site, <br /> 1901 Gateway Roulevard, suhject to the following conditions: <br /> 1. Execution or a secured reimbursement agreement between the City and Chesapeake <br /> Companies, in a /l.mn approved by the City Attorney; <br /> 2. Execution of a performancc agreement between the City and Chesapeake Companies, <br /> in a form approved by the City Attorney; and <br /> 3. Chesapeake Companies must apply for a Final Plan approval prior to any grant- <br /> related remediation work heing started on the site. <br /> Discussion <br /> The City has heen notified of approval of the full funding requested rrom each of the three <br /> agencies, and to date, has rcceived contracts from DEED, the Met Council and recently, Ramsey <br /> County. The City Council has previously approved the contracts with DEED and the Met <br /> Council at thcir August 28 meeting. We have also rcceived a sccured reimbursement and <br /> performancc agreement and application has been made I(H the Final Plan approval from <br />. Chesapeake Companics, as required in the conditions of the grant applications. <br />
