<br />~ <br />~HILLS <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: <br />TO: <br />FROM: <br /> <br />February 12, 2007 <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM: 3C <br /> <br />Mayor and City Council <br />Michelle Wolfe, City Administrator <br /> <br />\~\~l~ <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Reimbursement to LJFD for Purchase of 800 MHz Radios <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />For the past several years, Ramsey County and the cities within the County have been pursuing <br />the implementation of an 800 MHz radio system. The County received grant funds, which were <br />used towards the construction of the system "backbone" and also toward the initial purchase of <br />radios, The radios have been purchased, and the County is now in the process of billing each <br />user City/organization for their share of costs. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />Lake Johanna Fire Department was billed directly by the County for its radios. They have now <br />billed each member City for their share of this capital cost. The City of Arden Hills share is <br />$21,201.52. This is based on the capital budget formula. This payment should be made from the <br />Public Safety Capital Fund. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Approve motion to authorize reimbursement payment of $21,201.52 to the Lake Johanna Fire <br />Department for 800 MHz radios, payment to be made from the Public Safety Capital Fund. <br /> <br />MW <br />Ilmetro-inetlardenhills\AdminlCity AdministratorlMemol200712-J 2-07 Memo RE 800 MHz payment. doc <br />
