URS Corp <br /> <br />Date: February 2], 2006 <br /> <br />Subject: 2006 Pavement Management Program, <br />Ridgewood Neighborhood <br />Construction Contract Request for Payment #6 <br /> <br />Background <br />The City of Arden Hills awarded Amt Construction Company, Inc. of Hugo, MN the 2006 <br />Pavement Management Program on June ]2, 2006 for a total contract amount of$],808,584.32. <br />Change Order #1 and Change Order #2 have been approved by Council resulting in a current <br />contract a.rnount of$1,703,314.16. <br /> <br />Project Status <br />TIle project is now substantially complete with only a small number of punch list items to be <br />completed in the spring. There are still] 4 trees to be planted, which the supplier did not have in <br />stock this past fall, and the delivery of the raingarden plants. <br /> <br />We have updated the final punchlist for the Contractor and will work on a schedule for <br />completion in a timely manner. This payment accomplishes two things; it contains as-built <br />quantities for all work items and also reduces the retainage from 5% to 2%. A retain age of2% <br />is a more appropriate amount considering the amount of work left to be completed. A <br />performance bond and payment bond are still held with the contractor, however, and these will <br />be held until the completion of the project. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />URS recommends the Council approve Pay Estimate #6 for Amt Construction Company, Inc. of <br />Hugo, MN in the amount of$62,439.27. <br />
