<br />Ramsey County- Wide Emergency Operations Plan <br /> <br />Revision 5.!, June, 2005 <br /> <br />New <br />Brighton <br /> <br />Line of Snccession <br /> <br />The Mayor of New Brighton is ultimately responsibte for providing <br />direction and control of city government resources involved in the response <br />to a disaster. The line of succession to the Mayor is as foltows: <br /> <br />I Mayor <br />2 Acting Mayor <br />3 City Manager <br />4 Assistant City Manager <br /> <br />Command and Control issues <br /> <br />For Emergencies/Limited Scope Disasters <br /> <br />An incident command system (tCS) may be established to direct the initiat <br />response by city forces to the event. (IfICS is imptemented, the first <br />arriving senior official wilt serve at the incident commander until helshe is <br />properly relieved). If organizational control of the incident escatates <br />beyond the capability of field command, the City Emergency Operaing <br />Center (EOC) may be activated to provide overalt command of the <br />incident. This wilt generalty become necessaI)' when the incident covers a <br />large geographic area, multiple locations, and/or when multiple responding <br />agencies are involved. Activation may be reqnested by the Incident <br />Commander, the Emergency Management Director or deputy, the Mayor, <br />or City Council. <br /> <br />DESGNATED INCIDENT COMMANDERS <br /> <br />.
