<br />Ramsey County-Wide Emergency Operations Plan <br /> <br />Revision 5./, June, 2005 <br /> <br /> <br />GENERAL <br /> <br />EMHS wilt assist in obtaining any state or federal government resources that may <br />be needed as a result of a disaster. In carrying out this responsibility, the director <br />wilt contact the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Division of Hometand <br />Security and Emergency Management (HSEM) regional program coordinator. <br />This person can provide technical information and assistance, if requested. <br /> <br />An outline of expected state and federal support is detailed earlier in this <br />plan. A more exhaustive summary of state and federal disaster assistance <br />that may be available is contained in the Minnesota Emergency <br />Management Director's Handbook. This document is on file with EMHS. <br /> <br />STATE AND FEDERAL AGENCIES <br /> <br />A summary of State and Federal programs available to local governments <br />that are experiencing or have experienced a disaster is contained in the <br />Minnesota Disaster Management Handbook and the Recovery from <br />Disaster Handbook. These documents are available through HSEM <br />andlor the City of Saint Paul Director of Emergency Management andlor <br />Emergency Preparedness Coordinator. <br /> <br />Minnesota Department of Public Safety - Division of Homeland Security and <br />Emergency Management (HSEM) <br /> <br />HSEM is the central point of contact within the State of Minnesota for a <br />wide range of emergency management resources. <br /> <br />Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) <br /> <br />FEMA is the central point of contact within the federal government for a <br />wide range of emergency management resources. <br /> <br />FEDERAL ASSISTANCE-HAZARDOUS MATERIALS INCIDENTS <br /> <br />I Feder Assistance can be a~~~:::d throuoh the State ,utv Officer at <br /> <br />MINNESOTA DUTY OFFICER <br /> <br />The purpose of the 24-hour Minnesota State Duty Officer program is to <br />provide a single point of contact for public and private sector entities to <br />request state-level assistance as needed or when a state-level notification <br />is required. <br /> <br />99 <br />
