<br />inform applicants that just because a planning case is placed on the consent calendar does not <br />'uarantee approval or denial. <br /> <br />The City Attorney was consulted about this proposal, and he stated that there are not any legal <br />issues with placing planning cases on the consent calendar. However, he did note that it was <br />important to include the basis for the approval or denial in the written motion language that is <br />adopted in the consent calendar. For planning cases placed on the consent calendar, Staff will <br />include the required findings in the motion language. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Staff recommends adopting the policy for placing planning cases on the consent calendar based <br />on the four criteria in the January 29, 2007, memo. <br />
