<br />City Council <br />Bocce Golf Proposal <br />2 <br /> <br />3. Staff and the PTRC did voice concerns about the golf course causing conflict with other <br />park users. Bethel University students often utilize Lindey's Park for rugby, lacrosse, or <br />football. The students utilize this grassy area without a permit from the City. Mr. <br />Baumann designed the course in order to utilize the perimeter ofthe park, therefore, <br />minimizing the conflict with other random uses of the park. <br /> <br />BUDGET <br />Staff did not budget for a Bocce Golf Course in 2007. However, the PTRC is very interested in <br />installing the golf course this year. A few projects that were slated to come from the Park Fund <br />in 2006 and 2007, have been delayed. Therefore, the PTRC is asking that the $2,500 come from <br />the Special Revenue, Park Fund in 2007. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The PTRC would like to move forward on installing a Bocce Golf Course at Lindey's Park. <br />Staff is looking for City Council iuput on the concept and consensus on whether to proceed in <br />2007. <br />
