This <br />arbitration concerns the still-open contract for the construction of the Arden Hills City Hall. <br />During the summer of 2003, the City participated in a mediation process with the General <br />Contractor, Rochon, in order to try and settle the dispute. We had another attempt at mediation <br />in November 2006. A third mediation was held Monday, April 30, 2007. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />In May 2006, the City Council authorized staff to retain the services ofMr. Jeffrey W. Coleman <br />as an attorney for the City Hall arbitration case. At that time, Council authorized $50,000. The <br />City Council authorized an additional $30,000 at the January 29, 2007 meeting. Council <br />authorized an additional $15,000 at the March 26,2007 meeting. For the calendar years 2006- <br />2007 this equates to a total authorization of $95,000. <br /> <br />The City has paid a total of $102,143.54 to-date for the legal services of Jeffrey Coleman. We <br />have an outstanding amount due of $375.) This would bring the total to $102,518.54. At this <br />time staff recommends authorization of a final amount of $7,518.54 for legal services from Mr. <br />Coleman. We do not anticipate any further invoices from Mr. Coleman. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Motion to authorize additional funds for the legal services of Mr. Jeffrey W.
