In the case of2007 Crack Sealing and Seal Coat Project, the lowest bidder is Pearson <br />Bros. Inc., of Hanover, Minnesota. <br /> <br />FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS <br /> <br />We received two bids for 2007 Crack Sealing and Seal Coat Project. The following is a list of <br />the bids received: <br /> <br />BIDDER AMOUNT <br />Pearson Bros. Inc. $74,036.50 <br />Allied Blacktop Company $74,291.40 <br /> <br />With bids for this project being under the budgeted amount, staff reviewed other streets for <br />possible additions to this contract. The streets that are slated for the next crack sealing and seal <br />coat project in 2009 are still in very good shape; to perform this work at this time would be <br />premature. Staff identified the Perry Park parking lot as an area that would benefit from a seal <br />coat at this time. Staff has contacted the contractor and they are willing to add this parking lot at <br />the bid prices. This addition will increase the project cost by $4,460.00, for a total project cost of <br />$78,496.50. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />Motion to award the 2007 Crack Sealing and Seal Coat Project to Pearson Bros.
