~ -~H1LLS - FEES Bolton & Menk is familiar with a wide range of project fee structures and is prepared to work closely with the City of Arden Hills to negotiate a standard fee system that addresses the needs of both the City and the firm. Normally, fees. for project design services will be provided on an hourly basis, with a mutually agreeable total estimated fee or, when the scope of services is clearly defined, a not-to-exceed maximum limit. Alternatively, when both parties are in agreement, a lump sum fee may be agreed upon for total compensation. Due to contractors' control of the means, methods, timing and schedule, it is generally anticipated that construction phase services will be provided on an hourly basis, with an estimated budget prepared prior to construction commencement. The following Schedule of Fees is based upon competent, responsible engineering and surveying services and is tlle minimum, below which adequate professional standards cannot be maintained. It is, therefore, to the advantage of both the Professional Engineer or Surveyor and the Client, that fees be commensurate with the service rendered. The hourly rates for Principals, Senior Associates, Associates and members of the staff vary according to skill and experience. The Schedule of Fees shall apply for the period through Januarv 1. 2009. These rates may be adjusted annually thereafter to account for changed labor costs, inflation or changed overhead conditions.
