<br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />September 5, 2007 <br /> <br />Agenda Item 4.D <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Michelle Wolfe, City Administrator <br /> <br />&)-~ <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Dave Scherbel, Building Official <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Chimney Recladding Pay Application # 2 <br /> <br />CC: <br /> <br />Karen Barton, Community Development Director <br /> <br />Backl!round <br />On March 26'\ 2007, the City Council approved the contract for Building Restoration to reclad <br />the City Hall chimney for an amount of$ll9,168. <br /> <br />Previously, the City paid Building Restoration $29,706.50 for Phase 1 ofthe construction. <br />The contractor has completed the construction project and the work has been accepted by City <br />staff and our project engineers, Wiss, Janey, Elstner. <br /> <br />The contractor has requested $67,061.92 per pay application # 2. <br />The total cost of the project Building Restoration has billed the City is $101,861.50. <br />This will leave a balance due of$5,093.08. (5% for retainage) <br /> <br />Attached to this memorandum is pay application #2, a final invoice, and WJE's approval letter. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />Staff recommends approval of pay application #2 of$67,061.92 <br /> <br />\\Metro~inet.us\ardenhills\Building\City Hall\BRC-Pay aplic, #2.DOC <br />
