<br />NORTHWESTERN COLLEGE MASTER PLAN <br />PUD APPLICATION REPORT <br /> <br />I. INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />Founded in 1902 as the Northwestern Bible and Missionary School, Northwestern College <br />is a private, non-denominational Christian College. Northwestern's academic program <br />offers 45 bachelor degrees ranging from elementary education and pastoral studies to <br />broadcasting/electronic media and psychology. In 1949, the College broadened its focus <br />when Twin Cities' radio station KTIS went on the air, Below is an image of the campus as it <br />appears today. <br /> <br /> <br />SNELLING TERRACE <br /> <br />SOUTHEAST <br /> <br />Northwestern College enjoys an excellent location in the communities of Roseville and <br />Arden Hills. Currently, approximately 1,650 students (Full-Time Equivalent - FTE) are <br />enrolled in traditional undergraduate education programs, Alternative education programs <br />are also offered to students and a Masters program is in development. <br /> <br />The education, values, and atmosphere provided by Northwestern College has proven <br />increasingly popular, resulting in increased demand for a limited number of openings each <br />year, In response to this demand, the College hired a consultant who prepared a Master <br />Plan for the College.
