Regarding the installation of antennas: Two (2) new KMW HB-X-PA-17-65-00T (L51.93in x ~6.l4in @
20.0 lbs.) antennas will be installed @ 152.0 ft AGL on the existing guardrail structure to replace four (4)
existing antennas and antenna frames @ 60.0 ft AGL (sector 1) and @ 100.0 ft AGL (sectors 2). Two (2)
existing antennas and antenna frame @ 80.0 ft AGL (sector 3) are to remain. The total wind load and dead
load per antenna (for new antennas) is smaller than 200 lb (OSHA required minimum guardrail design point
load). Therefore by engineering judgement the existing guardrail structure is adequate. Since, the new
antenna elevation is higher than the existing there is an increase of the wind pressure on the antennas and the
arm of the wind force for bending moment. Therefore, the overall wind load on the existing water tower is
greater. A comparison between water tank - no equipment configuration and water tank - project
configuration shows:
Bending Moment increase by 4.11 %
Axial Load increase by 0.02%
Shear Load increase by 2.56% of water tower base loads due to antennas and equipment
(see attached calculations).
Therefore by engineering judgement existing water tower structure is adequate.

. Regarding the installation of new I relocation of existing coaxial cables: Four (4) existing coaxial cables will
be removed and replaced by four (4) new I 5/8" coaxial cables (sectors 1 & 2). The other existing coaxial
cables to remain (sector 3 All cables routed inside, new penetration @ access hatch plate is needed (see
details).

If you have any questions or concerns, plea e do not hesitate to contact us.

I hereby certify that this plan, specification, or
report was prepared by me or under my direct
supervision and that I am a duly Licensed
Professional Engineer under the laws of the
State of Minnesota.
Print Name: HEN BA

Signature:

License # 43012

Date:
