Staff was asked to clarify the defini1ions <br />used for "recreational vehicle" as well as the methodology for measuring "length" and "height" <br />of RVs. The primary goal of this amendment is to clarify the definitions and build consistency <br />within the RV code. A draft of a revised RV code was proposed in May; however, the project <br />was delayed for additional research. <br /> <br />In response 10 the Council and Planning Commission's request, Staff analyzed the current code <br />and reviewed codes from fifteen other communities in the metropolitan area. Comments and <br />discussion were elicited from other City Staff, including the code enforcement officer and the <br />building official. <br /> <br />A proposed RV ordinance was drafted and presented to the Planning Commission at the October <br />3, 2007, Planning Commission meeting.
