<br />Proposed RV Code <br />November 7, 2007 <br /> <br />Definitions: <br /> <br />Subd. 136 Recreational vehicles (RV's). Vehicles for recreational or utilitarian uses that can be <br />driven, towed, or hauled. These vehicles may be designed to be temporary living spaces for <br />camping/travel use. RVs shall include: Any watercraft, snowmobile, pull camper, all terrain <br />vehicle (A TV), motor home, travel trailer, tent trailer, special purpose trailer, utility trailer used <br />for hauling, or other similar vehicle. A recreational vehicle uponiltrailer shall constitute one <br />recreational vehicle. <br /> <br />Water-Oriented Recreational Vehicles and Equipment, Motorized boats, watercraft, and their <br />trailers including, but not limited to, power boats, cruisers, jet skies, fishin untin <br />boats/pontoon boats, sail boa1s <br /> <br /> <br />RV Height. The height of an RV shall be measured frorrith~,ground to the highest point of the <br />structure not including antennas and utility/mechanical systems",provided they are accessory to <br />the RV and take up no more than ten (10) petcentofthe roofsuifaq~"rea. <br /> <br />RV Length. The length of an RV shall be measutedfrolllel1d to end including any hitch or <br />motor. The unregulated outside parking and outside storage of <br />all motor vehicles and.tbcreational vehicles and equipment within a residential use district or <br />accessory to a residential use is found to create a nuisance, hazard and detrimental influence <br />upon the public health, safety and general welfare of the community by obstructing the view on <br />streets and on private property, bringing noise and odors into residential areas, creating cluttered <br />and otherwise unsightly areas, preventing the full use of residential streets for residential <br />parking, reducing the useable open space of streets and private property and otherwise adversely <br />affecting residential property values and neighborhood maintenance and improvement. <br />
