We
continue to enjoy
the charm, beauty and sense of community that exists, even as we
launch a new era of growth and improvement. The present council has been
alert to the city.s needs - some old and some new - and has
aggresively taken the lead to address them.

We are writing each of you to address an issue which, in many
respects, relate to all of the above. The proposed changes requested
by the owner/
leasor of Arden Plaza are inappropriate and unreasonable.

We do not need a Walgreen's, CVS, or any other uchainu pharmacy in
Arden Plaza. The Arden Plaza Pharmacy and Gift Shop has served
residents for
many years with quality products, outstanding service and
personalized attention. The staff is competent, caring, friendly and
is an independent
business that should be welcome in our community-oriented city. It
hardly needs mention that Target and Cub meet the "chainll requirement.

Further, why an ALDI grocery? It doesn't seem to fit the shoppers in
our community or even surrounding area, and we are well served by
Target, Cubl
and Byerly's.

We urge you to review these requests In three ways:
need? Is it practical? Is it fair?

Is there a

Thank You.

1
