Highway 96
Arden Hills, MN 55112

Dear Mr. Lehnhoff:

I am writing in regard to the proposed redevelopment of Arden Plaza. I am very much against
the project if it means a new drugstore on the comer of Lexington and COlU1ty Road E.

Arden Pharmacy and Gift store has been in business for many, many yearS and has been a valued
member of the community. The customer service is outstanding with great and courteous
personnel. Why would the Planning Commission grant the requ~st to the detriment of an already
existing business? We need to protect and preserve privately owned businesses and not allow big
box stores to take them away.

I don't believe the demographics of the area show any need for another drugstore in the
community when there are pharmacies at both CUB and Target Greatland in addition to Arden
Pharmacy. The same holds trne for adding another grocery store when we have cuB and Target
only a half-mile away.

I urge the Planning Commission to refuse permission for this redevelopment which would be a
disservice to the community.

Sincerely,
~~~-U:-~
Ste~allie A.Mann ~.
868 Cobb Road
Shoteview, MN 55126
