<br />RV Codes from Surrounding Communities <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />Shoreview <br /> <br />New Brighton <br /> <br />Roseville <br /> <br />Mounds View <br /> <br />Ordinance <br />(B) Parking or Storage of Recreation Vehicles, Boats, ATV's, Snowmobiles, etc. <br />(1) Recreational vehicles, boats, A TV's, snowmobiles, special purpose trailers or other vehicles <br />designed or used for off-road purposes may be parked or stored in a garage or lawfully erected <br />building, or may be parked or stored outdoors as follows: <br />(a) No more than two such vehicles, not more than one of which is a recreational vehicle, shall be <br />parked or stored outdoors on each lot. For the purposes hereof, a vehicle on a trailer shall be <br />considered one vehicle. <br />(b) Any such vehicle parked or stored outdoors shall be owned or leased by the occupant of the <br />premises where parked or stored <br />(c) Any such vehicle shall not be parked or stored within five feet of a side yard lot line, or within ten <br />feet of a rear yard property line. Vehicles may be parked within the required front setback provided <br />vehicles are parked on an approved asphalt, concrete or similar approved hard surface <br />e. Outside storage of boats, campers, trailers, and other recreational vehicles shall be prohibited. <br />[Multi-Family housing] <br />Recreational vehicles must be parked on a paved surface and setback at least 5 feet from the <br />property line. The amount of impervious surface devoted to Recreational Vehicles cannot exceed <br />300 feet. <br />B. No person may place, park, store, or allow the placement or storage of Ice fish houses, <br />skateboard ramps, play houses, or other similar nonpermanent structures outside <br />continuously for longer than twenty four (24) hours in the front-yard area of residentially- <br />zoned property. Storing of boats, trailers and inoperative motor vehicles in front yards is <br />prohibited. (407.02M1) <br />D. No person shall cause, undertake, permit or allow the outside parking and storage of <br />vehicles in residentially zoned property for more than fourteen (14) thirty (30) days unless it <br />complies with the following requirements. (407.02M3) <br />1. Vehicles which are parked or stored outside shall be on an improved surface as defined in this <br />Code. <br />2. All vehicles, watercraft and other articles stored outside on residential property must be owned or <br />leased by a person who is a legal resident of that property. <br />3. No person, owning, driving or in charge of any vehicle with a manufacturers rated capacity of more <br />than one ton, as specified in Minnesota Statutes, may cause or permit that vehicle to be parked <br />outside or stand continuous for more than two (2) hours on property or public street within a <br />residential zone in the City. <br />Q. Storing of Boats, Trailers and Inoperative Motor Vehicles In Front Yards [is considered a <br />public nuisance]: <br />1. The storing of the following things for a period longer than 72 hours in the front yard of any <br />residential zoned area [is prohibited]: <br />a. Trailers of any kind, unless supporting a boat of 20 feet or less. <br />b. Boats or watercraft of any kind in excess of 20 feet. <br />c. Inoperative motor vehicles of any type. <br />d. Campers and camper buses. <br />2. For the purpose of this Section, "front yard" means any area between any public street and a line <br />parallel to the public street at the building line. (Ord. 522, 1-9-1967; 1995 Code) <br />Subd. 4. Recreational Vehicles and Equipment: No person shall allow any recreational vehicle or <br />equipment to be parked off-street closer than fifteen feet (15') to the paved surfaces of a <br />public roadway. Recreational Vehicles shall be parked on a hard surface. <br />
