<br />~ <br />~~HILLS <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />Agenda Item 4.N. <br /> <br />DATE: December 4,2007 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council Members <br />Michelle Wolfe, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Sue Iverson, Finance Director <br />Pang Silseth, Accounting Clerk <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Resolution 07-73: Certifying Delinquent Utilities <br /> <br />Background <br />Utility accounts with an outstanding balance of ninety days or more as of September 30, 2007 <br />are considered delinquent. Those utility customers and property owners were notified in early <br />October of their delinquent account status and were asked to pay the delinquent balance by <br />November 30, 2007. Utility accounts with an unpaid delinquent balance after November 30th <br />would be certified to Ramsey County for the delinquent balance plus an eight percent penalty, <br />which would be included with property taxes payable in 2008. <br /> <br />Discussiou <br />The list of delinquent utility accounts, as of December 3, 2007, is attached. The City will request <br />that Ramsey County levy the delinquent balances against the respective properties. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Staff recommends a motion to approve Resolution 07-73 certifying the attached list of delinquent <br />utility accounts to Ramsey County <br />
