<br />~ <br />~~HILLS <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 07-78 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING RAMSEY COUNTY SUPPORT FOR <br />TRANSPORTATION PROJECT FUNDING <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as part of the potential redevelopment project of the Twin Cities Army <br />Ammunitions Plant (TCAAP) site in the City of Arden Hills (City), the City recognizes the need <br />to improve the interchange of County Highway 96 and U.S. Highway 10 and the interchange of <br />County Road Hand 1-35W (the "Interchange Projects"); <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Interchange Projects are transportation infrastructure of major regional <br />significance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the redevelopment project of the TCAAP site will provide significant <br />regional economic development; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City intends to request support from the federal government through <br />special legislation in the 2009 legislative session; and <br /> <br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Arden Hills does hereby <br />request support from Ramsey County, and other agencies that would benefit from such <br />improvements, in seeking U.S. federal appropriations for the purpose of funding appropriate <br />improvements to the interchange of Highway 96 and U.8.
