C�ty of Arden Hills Chapter 12 Sign Code <br />Section 1210 - Definitions <br />1210.01 Definitions. The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this section, <br />shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this subsection, except where the context <br />clearly indicated a different meaning: <br />Deleted: so�. <br />Subd. 1 Auxiliary sign: a sign providing direction for internal circulation, parking _ <br />Deleted: similar <br />or entry, restrictions on parking, security warnings, or other similar signs and is <br />generally not understandable or readable by the naked eve of an ordinary person <br />with 20/20 vision from property other than where the sign is located, such as from <br />adjacent property or a public street, as determined by the Zoning Administrator. <br />Subd. 2 Canopy/awning sign: a visual message or logo on an awning or canopy <br />which is constructed according to the requirements of the building code, is an <br />integral part of the building, and is consistent with the architecture and design of <br />the building. <br />Subd. 3 Clear vision area: The clear vision area shall be an area within a triangle <br />that is measured along the edge of the road starting at the intersection of two roads <br />(public or private) and extending thirty <br />(30) feet in each direction from the <br />intersection and then a line connecting <br />these two end points. <br />'Formatted: Centered <br />i <br />vlean <br />Orn <br />12-b <br />DRAFT January 9, 2008 <br />
