Development Character and Design <br /> <br />Recent development in Arden Hills and the B-2 District has raised concerns about <br />context-sensitive design. Most notably, buifding size, orientation, materials, signage, <br />and design emerged as an important concern. Thus, analyses of these and other <br />characteristics need to be undertaken. Recommendations on future height, density, <br />massing, building materials, and character for residential, office, industrial, and <br />commercial development at different locations will need to be made. <br /> <br />Design guideline recommendations should be developed as part of the plan. This <br />section of the study will generally describe desired characteristics of development in <br />the study area, such as site layout, landscaping, fencing, fenestration, building <br />materials, signage, and lighting.
