<br />~ <br />~HILLS <br /> <br />Approved: January 14, 2008 <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />JOINT WORK SESSION WITH PLANNING COMMISSION <br />JUNE 12, 2007 <br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Stan Harpstead called to order the City <br />Council Work Session meeting at 6:35 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Stan Harpstead, Councilmembers Brenda Holden, David Grant, <br />David McClung, and Fran Holmes. Planning Commissioners Roberta <br />Thompson, Clay Larson, Clayton Zimmerman, Andy Holewa, Liz <br />Modessette, Jan Stodola. <br /> <br />Also present: City Administrator, Michelle Wolfe; Community Development Director, <br />Karen Barton, City Planner James Lehnhoff <br /> <br />Others present: Gen McJilton and Eric Anderson, Ryan Companies; Bruce Chamberlain <br />and Chuck Evans, HKGi, and Tom Whitlock, Damon Farber. <br /> <br />Tom Whitlock of Damon Farber reviewed information regarding the Visual Listening exercise <br />for the TCAAP redevelopment project. Councilmember Holmes stated that she was concerned <br />that the responses received do not reflect current Arden Hills. Commissioner Holewa stated that <br />street lights are an example. <br /> <br />The group discussed sidewalks. Commissioner Zimmerman expressed support for sidewalks. <br />Commissioner Holewa said there useful if you have somewhere to go to. Discussion regarding <br />sidewalks ensued. Councilmember Grant suggested that the trail pattern be considered with the <br />sidewalks. Councilmember Holden expressed concern regarding sidewalk maintenance. She <br />stated that most residents do not like sidewalks in residential area, but maybe they would be good <br />III some areas. <br />
