The City will continue its search for a new Community <br />Develop director as well as a new City Administrator. While the TCAAP planning process <br />slowed in the last half of 2007, it will continue in 2008. In addition to the on-going planning <br />cases, City Staff is hard at work on a number of other projects, which include: <br />o Completing the 2008 Comprehensive Plan update; <br />o Developing a Small Area Plan for the B2 District; <br />o Completing the community planning process and issuing a request for proposals (RFP) to <br />redevelop the old City Hall/Public Works property; <br />o Continue work on the Master Plan for the proposed TCAAP redevelopment; <br />o Implementing a tree preservation ordinance and amended landscape requirements; <br />o Amending the sign regulations; <br />o Exploring adopting a rental licensing program for residential properties within the City; <br />o Exploring the implementation of an administrative fining program for violations to the <br />City Code; <br />o Updating the Site Plan Review process; <br />o Revising the Shoreland Regulations chapter in the Zoning Code; <br />o Continuing outreach to educate residents on City regulations and code enforcement; <br />o Reviewing the business licensing program; <br />o Continuing to close out old permits and complaints; <br />o Continue to find ways to make services more efficient and streamlined; <br />o Any other projects that come up as the need arises! <br />City of Arden Hills <br />Planning Commission Meeting far February 6, 2008 <br />IlMetro-inet.uslardenhilislPlanninglPlanning Cases120071 Year in Review1121807 - 2007 Year in Review.doc <br />Page 7 of 7 <br />
