EN HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: February 6, 2008 Work Session 2.A <br />TO: Planning Commission <br />FROM: James Lehnhoff, City Planner <br />SUBJECT: Planning Case #08-004 <br />Sign Code Amendments <br />ATTACHMENTS: Proposed Sign Code Amendment <br />Requested Action <br />Review proposed changes to the Sign Code and provide comments and questions. <br />Update <br />On January 9, 2008, the Planning Commission reviewed proposed amendments to the Sign Code. <br />While the primary purpose of the Sign Code update is to more clearly prohibit dynamic display <br />signs, Staff also proposed a number of other changes to remove ambiguity and provide more <br />guidance in the sign regulations. Based on the comments and questions from the January <br />meeting, Staff has prepared an updated draft of the Sign Code for discussion at the Planning <br />Commission work session. <br />This memo only addresses the items that have been updated since the January Planning <br />Commission meeting. The changes from the current Code are marked on the attached document. <br />All additions are underlined and deleted text appears along the right side of the Code document. <br />Spelling corrections and minor grammatical corrections may not be marked. <br />The attached Sign Code is considered a working draft.
