Section 1260: Sign Standard Adjustment <br />■ The "conditional use permit" process was removed from 1260.01. Upon further review, a <br />sign standard adjustment can be limited to the site plan review and PUD process. <br />Roll Out Portable Signs <br />In recent months, there has been an increasing concern over the aesthetics of the roll out portable <br />signs, particularly when they use fluorescent colored lettering. The previous Sign Code did not <br />specifically allow these types of signs; however, they were added into the current Sign Code in <br />2006. <br />Staff is requesting feedback on whether these signs should continue to be permitted, be <br />prohibited, or have additional regulations. <br />Options <br />Although the City Code and State Statutes do not specifically require the Planning Commission <br />to review changes to the Sign Code, Staff is requesting that the Planning Commission review the <br />proposed changes and provide comments and questions.
