<br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL WORKSESSION - January 14, 2008 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />The following items were clarified based on questions by the City Council: <br />. Clarification on 10/96 costs <br />. Greg Hoag responded these would be the City's contributions to the County led <br />project <br />. Snelling Avenue Regional Trail should be moved to 2013, when the Snelling Avenue <br />reconstruction proj ect is planned. <br /> <br />Councilmember McClung requested updated maps with a key for clarification. <br /> <br />Civil Engineer Giga provided information on each line item ofthe CIP. <br /> <br />Finance Director Iverson reported the stated fund balances are a best guess until she completes <br />the rate study. She directed Council to the reports section on uses of funds with the balances after <br />five years. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Hoag commented some projects are being driven by drainage issues rather <br />than pavement issues. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Holden requested that Recreation Manager Olson check on liability issues for <br />parks and trails with City Attorney Filla. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Holden questioned what year the lift station projects would be located. <br /> <br />Finance Director Iverson replied this would be dependent upon infrastructure needs and the <br />results of the feasibility study. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Holden commented that the trails consist of different widths. <br /> <br />Recreation Manager Olson replied any trail with a ten foot width is preferred. <br /> <br />Councilmember McClung commented the County Road E Bridge and walkway and the money to <br />complete the project should be listed under unassigned. He stated it could be moved back in if <br />funding were found to complete the project. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Holden replied she would like to complete the bridge because of safety concerns. <br /> <br />Recreation Manager Olson commented she would research funding sources. <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant questioned Fire Department Station One and West Round Lake <br />reconstruction funding. <br /> <br />Civil Engineer Giga stated staff would continue to work on the details. <br /> <br />4. COUNCIL COMMENTS AND REQUESTS <br />
