The average minimum standard of 3 units per acre is important to the <br />efficient use of regional systems, including wastewater system investments. Communities <br />that significantly over -utilize or under -utilize regional systems can cause inefficiencies in <br />the use of regional resources. Additionally, achieving housing at these density levels may <br />help communities meet their obligations under the Metropolitan Land Planning Act to <br />plan for and address their housing needs. <br />Geographic planning area. <br />The city of Arden Hills is designated as a "developed community" geographic planning <br />area in the 2030 Regional Development Framework. Geographic planning areas are <br />shown on the 2030 Planning Area map. The planning area sets overall densities that the <br />planned development patterns in your community can be expected to achieve.
