<br />1250.04 Temporary Banner Signs for Athletic Fields at Mounds View High School, Bethel <br /> <br />University, and Northwestern College. Athletic fields at Mounds View High School, Bethel <br /> <br />University, and Northwestern College may be permitted to have temporary banner signs <br /> <br />attached to the fences of their athletic fields provided that such sign age faces the field of <br /> <br />play so that the impact of the sign age is directed only to those utilizing the field or watching <br /> <br />the sporting event, and not surrounding property owners. In addition, to the greatest <br /> <br />extent possible such signage shall not obstruct sightlines to the athletic field for those <br /> <br />watching the sporting event from the bleachers or other designated viewing areas. The <br /> <br />content oftemporary banner signage shall comply with the sponsorship sign regulations as <br /> <br /> <br />established by Mounds View High School, Bethel University, or Northwestern College for <br /> <br /> <br />their respective athletic fields. The City Administrator or Administrator's designee shall <br /> <br /> <br />determine if the signage is visible from a public roadway or from property outside of <br /> <br />Mounds View High School, Bethel University, and Northwestern College. If found to be <br /> <br />visible, the signs shall comply with the following size limitations and shall follow the sigu <br /> <br />permit process as described below: <br /> <br />Subd. 1 Individual Sign Area. Temporary banner signs shall not exceed fifty (50) <br /> <br />square feet each. <br /> <br />Subd. 2 Total Signage Area. The temporary banner sign shall not exceed a massing <br /> <br />of over nine hundred and sixty (960) square feet in one area or a total of two <br /> <br />thousand (2000) square feet. <br /> <br />33 <br />
