($63,000 per position) <br /> <br />Needs Assessment - Department wide <br /> <br />2009 - 2010 <br /> <br />Hire a company to do a needs assessment that includes our entire fire district, evaluating <br />existing stations and equipment. Look at future needs and evaluate future staffmg plans. <br /> <br />Night Station StaffIng <br /> <br />2008 - 2009 <br /> <br />Use existing paid on call Firefighters to staff stations overnight. There is a need to <br />improve service coverage particularly on Friday and Saturday nights, where poor <br />response time or lack of available firefighters is a problem. This could be expaoded at <br />some point to 7 nights a week to allow firefighters to schedule there shift. This could be <br />a recruiting tool aod provide much better service to all three communities. <br />One example: <br />6 firefighters (total) staffing two stations Friday and Saturday nights $101,000 <br /> <br />Fire Inspector <br /> <br />2009 - 2011 <br /> <br />As TCAAP develops it might be necessary to hire additional help for code enforcement. <br />This can be accomplished by hiring a duty crew position that would assist the fire <br />marshal as needed for Code Enforcement activities. <br /> <br />8/16/2007 <br /> <br />2 <br />
