<br />Sheehy-Shacker donated land name designation08 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />PTRC RECOMMENDATION <br />After discussion, the PTRC made a motion to recommend that the City name the land donated by <br />Mr. James Shacker and Mr. C.E. Sheehy as Johanna Marsh. This recommended name does fall <br />under the Geographic naming criteria. <br /> <br />Staff did make a point to clarify with the committee on whether the name should also include <br />Park or Preserve. The committee made the decision to only recommend the name Johanna <br />Marsh and leave it up to the City Council to decide if they want to add Park or Preserve to the <br />official name. <br /> <br />REOUESTED CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br />Motion to support the PTRC recommendation to designate the land donated by Mr. James <br />Shacker and Mr. C.E. Sheehy as Johanna Marsh. <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends a motion to support the PTRC recommendation to designate the land donated <br />by Mr. James Shacker and Mr. C.E. Sheehy as Johanna Marsh. The PTRC did consider the <br />opinion ofthe neighborhood association in the selection of the name and did follow the naming <br />guidelines approved by the City Council in 2006. <br />
