I unfortunately do not have all their
email addresses.

Thanks I

Bruce

From: Bruce Kunkel
Sen~, Mon 3/3/2008 9:49 PM
To:' Stan Harpstead (sjharpstead@comcast.net)
Cc:. holdenbj 24@aol. com
Subject: EDC

Stan:

As you and I have discussed it is essential for the EDC to continue to have meetings on a
regular basis. The two meetings that were canceled last fall did nothing to further the
cause of economic development in Arden Hills and in fact may have damaged some progress
already made. Over the past year the EDC has been amazingly flexible in establishing
meeting times around my erratic schedule. However, construction on the seminary addition
in San Diego has now been set for late summer with much to do between now and then.
It is no longer fair or even reasonable for me to ask the EDC to work around my needs.
With that back ground I need to submit my resignation as chair of the EDC. I have
thoroughly enjoyed my time as chair and only wish that we
could have accomplished more on behalf of the City of Arden Hills. I have
a few details to wrap up with Noah but would ask that my resignation take effect March 15
or as soon after this as is reasonable.

I would be interested in remaining on the EDC if it is acceptable with you, Council member
Holden, Noah Simon and the new chair. Given the range of personalities and issues I will
certainly understand if you prefer I resign from the commission as well--just let me know
your preference. I want to thank you for the opportunity to serve as the EDC chair it has
bee~ a rewarding experience.

Sincerely,

Bruce Kunkel

1
