<br /> <br />Approved: April 14, 2008 <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MARCH 31, 2008; 6:30 PM <br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, SMALL CONFERENCE ROOM <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Stan Harpstead called to order the regular <br />City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Stan Harpstead; Councilmembers David Grant, Brenda Holden, <br />David McClung, Fran Holmes (listening by phone) and Teri Bly from <br />Personnel Decisions International. <br /> <br />Mayor Harpstead moved approval of the agenda (seconded by Councilmember McClung) <br />containing two items, review of interview summary and closed session for certain <br />matters concerning litigation. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> <br />Mayor Harpstead began by introducing Terri Bly. <br /> <br />Terri Bly presented the various matrices and comments from the Council and staff interviews of <br />the six candidates for the position of City Administrator. A discussion ensued. <br /> <br />City Council discussed the matrices and comments and asked Personnel Decisions Incorporated <br />to conduct a selections assessment consisting of further performance reviews, interviews and <br />background checks on three candidates, Ron Moorse, Melinda Coleman and Jim Norman. <br /> <br />The Council was joined at 6:45 p.m. by City Attorney John Miller and Assistant City <br />Administrator Noah Simon. <br /> <br />Mayor Harpstead moved to close the meeting for the purpose of discussing with the City's <br />attorney certain matters concerning the litigation which has been commenced by Flaherty's <br />Arden Bowl, as Plaintiff, and, the Cities of Arden Hills and Roseville, as Defendants. <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant seconded the motion. Motion carried 4-0. <br />
