The higher population in the 18 - 24 age group is largely due to the student
population at Bethel University and other college students.
. Except for the 18 - 24 age group, the Arden Hills population tended to weighted
into the older age groups in 2000. This growth in the older age groups, as noted
in Figure 2, is anticipated to continue.

2.2 Housing

Housing Units and People per Housing Unit
Housing Units People per Housing Unit
1990 2000 2010 2020 2030 % Change %01ange 2000 2010 2020 2030
1990-2000 2000-2030
Arden Hills 2,904 2,959 3,800 4,600 4,600 1.89% 55.46% 3.26 2.95 2.93 2.93
Mounds View 4,885 5.018 5,400 5,600 6,000 2.72% 19-57% 2.54 2.3-9 2.32 2.23-
New Bri9hton 8,811 9,013- 9,400 9,800 10,000 2.29% 10.95% 2.46 2.41 2_30 2.28
Roseville 14,216 14,598 15,500 16,000 16,500 2.69% 13.03% 2.3-1 2.32 2.31 2.32
Shoreview 9,280 10,125 11,000 11,300 11,300 9.11% 11.60% 2.56 2.59 2.57 2.57
Ramsey County 201,016 201,236 219,170 231,670 246,290 0_11% 22.39% 2.54 2-50 2.46 2.43
Twin Cities 7 County 947,465 1,021,456 1,213.800 1.386,200 1,513,100 7.81% 48.13% 2.59 2.52 2.47 2.44
Source: Iv'etropoman Council

.
