Simon, Assistant City Administrator <br />Greg Hoag, Public Works Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Public Works Superintendent Retirement and Replacement Process <br /> <br />Backl!:round <br /> <br />On April 30, 2008, Jirn Perron, Public Works Superintendent submitted the attached letter of <br />resignation effective June 30, 2008. Jim has worked in the Public Works department in several <br />different positions for the past 19 years and is an exceptional employee. Jim's knowledge and <br />history of the City and his superb work ethic will be missed. <br /> <br />Staff has worked with the City's compensation consultant to prepare the position description and <br />position classification. The position classification is Grade 8. The pay range for Grade 8 is <br />$51,912 at step 1 and $64,890 at step 8. <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />Motion to accept the resignatiou of Jim Perron, Public Works Superintendent, effective June 30, <br />2008. <br /> <br />Motion to approve the position description for the position of Public Works Superintendent and <br />to authorize staff to advertise for the position at Grade 8 (salary range $51,912-$64,890). <br />
