<br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AMENDMENT <br />CASE NO. 08-011 <br /> <br /> <br />1.0 Recitals. <br /> <br />A. Independent School District No. 621, a governmental subdivision of the <br />State of Minnesota ("Permittee"), and having one of its school campuses <br />located on the following real property in the City of Arden Hills, Ramsey <br />County, Minnesota ("Arden Hills"): <br /> <br />The Northeast Y. of the Northwest Y. of Section 29, <br />Township 30, Range 23 and the West 400 feet of the <br />Northwest Y. of the Northeast Y. lying Southerly of the <br />center line of County Road F in Section 28, Township <br />29, Range 23 and that part of the Southeast Y. of the <br />Southwest Y. of Section 21, Township 30, Range 23 <br />lying Southerly of the center line of County Road F. <br />according to the U.S. Government Survey thereof <br />(herein the "Subject Property"). <br /> <br />B. On the 6th day of March, 2008, Permittee submitted a completed <br />application to Arden Hills requesting that its existing conditional use permit <br />be amended to allow the construction of a baseball field and related <br />dugouts and fencing ("Ball Field Application") on the Subject Property. <br /> <br />C. On the 2nd day of April, 2008, the Ball Field Application was reviewed at a <br />public hearing by the Arden Hills Planning Commission. The Arden Hills <br />Planning Commission tabled the application for additional review. <br /> <br />D. On the ih day of May, 2008, the Ball Field Application was reviewed at a <br />public hearing by the Arden Hills Planning Commission. The Arden Hills <br />Planning Commission considered the recommendations of the Arden Hills <br />staff, the comments of the public and recommended approval of the Ball <br />Field Application subject to certain conditions. <br /> <br />2.0 Approval of Ball Field Application. On the 2ih day of May, 2008, the Arden <br />Hills City Council considered the Ball Field Application, the recommendations of <br />the Arden Hills Staff and Planning Commission, the effects of the proposed <br />amended conditional use on the health, safety, convenience and general welfare <br />of the owners and occupants of surrounding land and the community as a whole, <br />and determined that the facts and circumstances of this particular case <br />
