Approve Planning Case 08-007 for a Conditional Use Permit for T-mobile Cellular Antennas <br />on the City Water Tower with at 4251 Femwood Street Based on the Findings of Fact and the <br />Submitted Plans as Amended by the Ten Conditions in the May 27, 2008, Memo to the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />2. Authorize Staff to Negotiate the Lease Agreement between T-Mobile Communications and <br />the City of Arden Hills with a Yearly Lease Rate of $ with a Yearly Increase of _%. <br /> <br />Backl!round <br /> <br />The applicants have requested a conditional use permit (CUP) to install nine panel antennas on to <br />the stem ofthe City water tower located at 425 I Femwood Street (north water tower). Three of <br />the antennas will be at a height of73 feet and six will be at a height of 83 feet. <br /> <br />Immediately to the east of the tower is an existing equipment building that houses the ground <br />equipment for the antennas that are currently located on the water tower. The existing ground <br />structure is at capacity; however, the water tower itself is capable of accommodating additional <br />antennas and there is sufficient land to accommodate additional ground equipment. T-Mobile is <br />proposing to construct a new, 360 square foot equipment building to house the ground equipment <br />for the proposed antennas.
