Where a water-bearing formation ia encountered <br /> during well construction at a depth which satisfiea these <br /> minimum requirements, the acceptability of the formation <br /> for well development shall be based on the satiafactory <br /> results of analysis of the water by a competent laboratory. <br /> (Ord. No. 56, § 4-5, 9-12-60) <br /> Sec. 6-181. Minimum supply. <br /> All wells for domestic use constructed in the city shall be <br /> constructed in such manner as to produce a minimum <br /> initial supply of nine hundred (900) gallona of sand free <br /> water per hour. (Ord. No. 56, § 4-6, 9-12-60) <br /> Sec. 6-182. Pump, equipment standards. <br /> The pump and other equipment inatalled on wells in this <br /> city shall conform to the following minimum atandarda, to <br /> wit: <br /> (a) Pump and equipment shall be designed to asaure a <br /> pollution-proof and froat-proof installation. <br /> (b) The purnp base ahall be constructed as to permit~N installation of a watertight mounting. <br /> <br /> ' (c) A well seal ahall be used. Such well seal ahall be of <br /> simple construction, easily installed, removed and <br /> , reinatalled should it become necessary to remove the <br /> drop pipe for repair. <br /> I (d) The top of the well casing shall be a minimum of <br /> eighteen (18) inches above the baaement floor level <br /> and the seal shall be so constructed and installed as <br /> to maintain its watertight feature, ahould tlooding <br /> occur. The pump room floor shall be at least sig (6) <br /> inches above the surrounding grade and the concrete <br /> platform shall be minimum of four (4) inchea above <br /> grade at the edge. <br /> (e) Suction lines inatalled through the well casing, or <br /> where otherwise installed less than ten (10) feet below <br /> grade, shall be provided with an outer protective <br /> 344 <br />
