<br /> <br /> <br /> § 9.5-29 AftDEN HILLS CODE <br /> <br /> (2) Residences and other structures constructed on fill so <br /> that the basement floor, or first floor if there is no <br /> basement, is at or above the regulatory flood <br /> protection elevation. <br /> (3) Accessory structures, provided they are constructed <br /> and placed on the lot in a manner to minimize the <br /> obstruction to the flow of floodwaters, and are <br /> floodproofed in accordance with the state building <br /> code. <br /> (B) Special Uses. The following uses may be permitted in <br /> the flood fringe district only after the issuance of a special <br /> use permit as provided in section 9.5-42. <br /> (1) Residences which cannot meet the requirements of <br /> subsection (A)(2) of this section because of lot size or <br /> the elevations of streets and utilities but which can <br /> demonstrate other methods of elevating the first floor <br /> above the regulatory flood protection elevation and are <br /> ~ floodproofed in accordance with the state building <br /> code. <br /> (2) Nonresidential structures with first floor elevations <br /> below the regulatory flood protection elevation, but <br /> which are floodproofed to the FP-1 or FP-2 classifica- <br /> tion in accordance with the state building code. <br /> (C) Standards for Flood Fringe Uses: <br /> (1) The finished fill elevation for buildings with first floor <br /> elevations above the regulatory flood protection <br /> elevation shall be no lower than one (1) foot below the <br /> regulatory flood protection elevation and shall extend <br /> at such elevation at least fifteen (15) feet beyond the <br /> limits of any structure or building erected thereon. Fill <br /> shall be compacted and the slopes shall be protected <br /> by riprap or vegetative covering.
