II, A ARDEN HILLS CODE <br /> ' (7) The words "used for" shall include the phrases "ar- <br /> ranged for," "designed for," "intended for," "improved <br /> for," "maintained for" and "occupied for." <br /> <br /> B. 5cope. <br /> From and after the effective date of this ordinance, the use <br /> of all land and every structure, building or portion of a build- <br /> ing erected, altered with respect to height and area, added to <br /> or relocated, and every use within a building or use accessory <br /> thereto, in the City of Arden Hills, shall be in conformity <br /> with the provisions of this ordinance. Any existing structure <br /> and any existing use of land not in conformity with the <br /> regulations herein prescribed shall be regarded as, noncon- <br /> forming uses or structures. <br /> This ordinance daes not abrogate any easement, covenant or <br /> any other private agreement where auch is legally enforceable, <br /> provided that where the regulations of this ordinance are <br /> more restrictive (or impose higher standards or requirements) <br /> than such easements, covenants or other private agreements, <br /> the requirements of this ordinance shall govern. <br /> C. Interpretation. <br /> In interpreting and applying the provisions of this ordi- <br /> nance, they shall be held to be the minimum requirements <br /> for the promotion of the public health, safety, convenience <br /> and general welfare. Where the provisions of this ordinance <br /> ' impose greater restrictions than those of any statute, other <br /> ordinance or regulation, the provisions of this ordinance shall <br /> ' be controlling. Where the provision.s of any statute, other <br /> ordinance or regulation impose greater restrictions than this <br /> ordinance, the provisions of such statute, other ordinance or <br /> regulation shall be controlling. <br /> D. Definitions. <br /> (1) Acre. A quantity of land containing forty-three thou- <br /> sand five hundred sixty (43,560) square feet or one hundred <br /> sixty (160) square rods in whatever shape and pattern (e.g. <br /> circular, squars, triangular, irregular, broad or narrow). <br /> Supp. No. 4 <br /> 1784 <br /> <br /> <br /> ~ <br />
