Amendment to Sec. 28-56(a) o} Code Relating fo <br /> Water Rates and Demand Charges. Subsections (a) and <br /> (g) of Sec. 28-56 of the Arden Hills City Code of Or- <br /> dinances are hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "•(a) The rate due and payable by each water user <br /> within the ciTy for water taken from the water system <br /> shall be as esTablished in resolutions adopted from time <br /> to time by the city council." <br /> -(g) In addition to the foregoing charges for water <br /> consumpTion, each water user within the city shall pay <br /> an additional quarterly demand charge for the purpose <br /> of covering certain fixed costs of the city in maintaining <br /> the municipal water sysTem, which charges shall be as <br /> esTablished in resolutions adopTed from time To time by <br /> the city council. <br /> The owner of a parcel of improved residential <br /> property, any portion of which is locaTed within four <br /> huntlred (400) feeT of a fire hydrant, shall also pay such <br /> quarterly demand or stand-by charge as is establ ished <br /> from time To Time by resolution adopted by the city <br /> council even }hough such property is noT connecTed to <br /> the municipal waTer system. <br /> Similarly, the owner of any parcel of impraved or <br /> nonresidential property, any portion of which is located <br /> within four hundretl (400) feet of a city fire hydrant, <br /> shall pay such quarterly demand or stand-by charge as <br /> is established by resolution adopfed from fime fo time <br /> by the city council." <br /> 2. Effective Date.
