COUNTY OF RfiPlISSEY VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS ORDINANCE NUMBEFi 23 AN 4RDINANCE RELATING UJ GURFEW FOR MIAiORS UNDER THE ArGE OF 16 ~EAR~ THE VILLFLGE C4UNG IL OF ARDEN HILLS DO ORDt~~IN AS FCLLOWS t SECTION 1a Thi s 4rdinance is hereby designated and shall be known as'-Tre=urfew Ordinance o • SECTION 2e It shall be unlawfU.1 for the parent, gu.ardian or other a u person having the care and cu,stody of a minor unde,r the age cif 16 ye ars to pe rmit such ;ninor to lviter, i dle , or be in or upon the public street, highways, roads 9 alleys, pa rks, playgrounds, or Qther public grounds, public places and publie buildings, plaees of amusement, entertainment or re#'resYunent, vaeant lots or other uMSUpervisa3 places between the hours of 9: p mm., and 5:00 adme of the following day, offieial village time, from the ist dag of Qctober to the 31s't day of October to the 31st day of Mar eh e both date inelu- s3.ve and between the hours of 10:00 pamo and 5:00 aom, of the day following, affieial village time, from the lst day of April to the 30th day of September, bQth dates incl.us3.ve, provided, however, that the provi sions o f thi s section sha11 not apply when the minar° is aceearnpa:niedby his parent.~ guardian or other adult person having the care and custody cf the minor or when the minor is upon an errand directed by his or 17o r"parent~ guardiaxi or other adult pe r- sons having the care and custody (f the minor, SECTION 3* It shall be unlawful for any person, firm'or corpora on operating or in charge of any place of amusement, entertaixmient or refraeshrwnt to permit arg minor under the age of 16 years to enter or rernain in su. ch place during the hours pro- hibited by this ordinance g provided however, that the provisions of this section shall not apply when such rninor is accompanied by his or her pare nt 9guardi ari or other adult person having the care and custady of the minor, SECTION 4e The liayar or Chief of Policea upon the request of tYze uper n endent of the Public Schools or the Parochial schools, ar the head of any other responsib3.e organization of the jTillage of Arden Hillsg may designate certa3.n nights during the school year as "School Nights" at such time as said schools shall be engaged in athletic, musical9 dramatic or social actiaitie s for the benefit or entertair.mnt of its studentso The pmvisions of Sections 1 and 2 of th3.s ordinance shall not apply to any student unde rthe age of 16 years or to his or her parent s guardian or other aciul.t person having the care and custody of° such rninor who, is l.awfu7.ly going to, attending or returning from any such school funation or ariy d.e signated "School Nightst"; pro vided ho T~~e a°er g that the limitations of Sectians T and 2 and the penalties f°or violation thereof Ehall apply 3n all respects on any such "School Nightsr" ~ between the hours of 11:00 p4mQ and 5:00 aams pf the following day, offical village time o SECTI ON 5 o Any minor g under the age of 16 ye ars who sha11 viola e e provisions of this ordinarre shail be deemed as a de- linque nt child as def ineci in Minne spta Statute s 1941, Se etion 26Q4Q1.
